So did anyone else think the new Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith sucked?!

Just kidding! ;) I loved it. Not as good as 4-6, but better than 1 and 2. And it gave nice closure to the story of how Anakin became Darth Vader. Go see it!


Why am I mentioning Star Wars?

The new CD is just about done. And YES, it has the "Jedi Drinking Song" on it! And a LOT more.

In case you missed all the news about it, the new CD is called, Brobdingnagian Fairy Tales. That's a fitting title too. It has an hour of bardic fairy tale fun with Irish drinking songs and our own unique mix of filk. If you own copies of our first two CDs, a few of the songs may be familiar. Here's the complete track listing:

So I'm sure you see a few familiar songs, huh? Everything is recorded, mixed and mastered. We're preparing the CD insert and putting the final touches on it. Next week, it will hit the printers. In July we will start releasing the CD!


When can you pre-order the CD?

Brobdingnagian Fairy Tales, cover by Ingrid HouwersPatience my young Padawan! Actually, I think you might be able to help answer that question. Here's the deal. We can do one of two things.

We can start accepting advance orders in a week or two. You might even get the CD before anyone else. And it's possible that one or even both of us may be able to autograph your CD.

OR, here's what I would prefer. I want to officially release the CD as soon as it is on CDBaby. If everyone bought the album on say the second week of July, we would easily have a Top 10 album on CDBaby, possibly even #1.

I would LOVE to be have a Top 10 album on the #1 Independent CD store. It would give us some great, much-need publicity for this album. I'd even make it worth your while by offering a discounted CD price and a few bonus MP3s if you were interested in helping out in this manner. Plus, I think it's highly possible that we could offer the first 100-200 CDs autographed (I need to check with the store to find out for sure though).

So what do you think? Would you prefer owning the CD by the end of the month? Or would you prefer helping us earn a #1 hit CD?

Cantiga - Martha's Dragon
One of my favorite Renaissance festival bands. This album was released last Fall. It's as brilliant as their last three albums. All instrumental, relaxing and mentally stimulating.

The Secret World of Celtic Rock - NEW CD!
